Pigmentation Treatment

Environmental damage, genetics, sun exposure, and the passage of time cause us to develop dark spots, pigmented lesions and freckles.  The hands, face and chest area are particularly susceptible to this damage. The damage can become worse with age and if left untreated or unprotected can worsen.

It is important to protect the skin by wearing an SPF on a daily basis which can offer protection from UVA and UVB rays.

A detailed consultation with our Doctor is required during which the various treatment options will be discussed:

Laser treatment for pigmented areas works by the energy from the laser being absorbed deep into the skin and creates a wound healing response and promotes new skin. The results are a more even skin tone and a brighter overall complexion.  Most patients undergo a series of 1 to 4 half hour treatments, with six weeks between treatments.
