Definisse Thread Lift
The Non-Surgical Facelift
What is a Thread Lift?
A thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck. Unlike traditional facelifts, thread lifts use temporary sutures to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. This non-surgical technique stimulates collagen production, helping to rejuvenate the skin over time. Dr Lalloo specialises in the closed-face non-surgical face and neck lift.
Benefits of a Thread Lift
- Minimally Invasive: Requires no general anaesthesia or large incisions.
- Quick Recovery: Minimal downtime compared to traditional facelift surgeries.
- Natural Results: Gradual improvement as new collagen forms, enhancing skin texture and firmness.
- Versatile: Targets various areas, including the brow, cheeks, jowls, and neck.
- Immediate Lift: A lift is usually visible straight away, with continued improvement over several months.
During surgery a small 1-2mm puncture will be made under local anaesthetic at the hairline or behind the ear. This area is sometimes sutured, with stitches removed 10 days later. The procedure normally takes approximately two hours. We would recommend that patients are collected and go home and rest. Recovery time is 7-10 days and post procedure you may experience bruising and mild swelling. The area will be sore and you may have puckering of skin around the jaw area and behind the ear. This normally lasts up to three weeks. A review is carried out by Dr Lalloo post procedure.
